This image was a definite push for me. When I paint or illustrate I swap between doing safe works, little doodles, speed paints, educational studies and the like. Then I kind of brace and try to paint a big new piece that will take some time and commitment, It will push me and make me doubt, and in the end I will be too close to the piece to really 'see' it anymore. So I stick a fork in it and call it done.
However for now I can say.

I did like putting in little elements, the stolen armour plates taken from the Ork occupying forces.
The spear with a bolter round tip (and the reason the Daughters commonly have an 'spear point' ear piercing)
The ornamentation in front of her aikido style pants, that would become the chapters badge.
The little things that make an image fun.
